No New Posts The Justice Building

District Ten’s Justice Building is large, as District Ten in itself is humongous as well. The walls of the building are made out of a white sort of brick that reflect the beating sun from the prairie lands. After walking through a very nicely decorated political building, you empty out into an outside courtyard where the reapings take place. The stage spans from wall to wall and remains a pale wood— and the potential tributes are roped off a few feet away by a scarlet rope. May the odds be ever in your favor.

No New Posts The Goodbye Room

A peachy pale room, it’s rather plain for such an important event in your life. After walking backstage from the reaping, you enter into this air-conditioned, pale, room. The your fellow 10 tribute is in the room next to you, and if you press your ear to the wall, you can just make out the sound of muffled voices.

No New Posts The Train

After being escorted from your goodbye rooms, you’ll find yourself in a high-tech train sent by the Capitol themselves. You’ll find yourself in a sitting room—with hallways branching off on both sides. In one hallway, you’ll find four doors. Each leads to a bedroom, and one will be yours. This hallway ends with a plain, steel door that (if you have the key) will lead to the other district sections of the train. The other hallway leads to a simple dining room with a set of swinging door leading to a kitchen for the Avoxes to prepare the food.

No New Posts Preparation

Meet your stylist. He, or she, is here to make you look beautiful. You’ll be escorted from the trains to a large room. The room has all sorts of fashion: scarves, spare cloth, needles, modeling pallets—and there is a smaller room off to the side where you’ll later discover harbors a bathroom and tub.

No New Posts Chariot Street

If you are observant, you’ll notice a small plaque at the end of each street that displays this name. Of course, you may not notice because you may be distracted by the thousands of screaming Capitolites who may, or may not, be shouting your name. District Ten’s horses are a pale sand color, and seem docile enough as they pull your brown carriage up the street. Good luck.

No New Posts Floor Ten

Immediately afterward the chariot rides, you’ll find yourself in a tall building. Entering the elevator, you’ll notice thirteen floors and a basement. The thirteenth floor leads to the roof, and the basement is where the training center and public buffet is. The tenth floor is the only floor you’ll have access to after that—and you’ll have to swipe a card each time upon pressing your said floor. On floor ten, you’ll find bedrooms for yourself, your district partner, and your mentors and escort. There’s a small sitting room, and a dining room where you can have breakfast and dinner as well. Be sure to watch the recaps on the flat screen in the sitting room!

No New Posts The Rooftop

A nice change from the hustle and bustle of the Capitol City—the rooftop houses a small rooftop garden that flourishes above the loud city lights. There’s a force field that will catch you if you jump, or fall, so mind that before trying to commit suicide.

No New Posts The Training Center

Made to look like your average gym, this training center is anything but the ordinary. Faux trees, climbing walls, archery stations—it’s all here. There’s even a swimming pool down the hall and to the right if you want to catch up on that. On the far side of the room is a set of bleachers that you might guess are for the gamemakers—oh, look!—there are a few of them sitting there now. You’ll come back here for your private session where you’ll be scored.

No New Posts Interviews

The lights are making your eyes hurt, the screams of the crowd are making your head throb—it’s the Capitol; they’re watching you live on television, and so is your own district! Be careful what you say, and play that angle right! This is your time to shine! The tributes are seated on the far side of the stage, set at an angle so the Capitol can see them well. On the stage itself are two cushiony chairs—one for you, and one for Caesar. Good luck!

No New Posts Launch Room

It’s a completely sterile environment, with walls platted with refined steel. The launch room is the same for every tribute—and ironically, most tributes never think that their opponents are actually on the other side of the steel walls. In the launch room, you can find a small bedroom (in case of malfunctions, a small sitting room for the wait, a door where you can find the loading docks for the hovercrafts, and a small cylindrical circle in the middle of the sitting room where the tributes are launched to their deaths.

No New Posts Cornucopia

The golden horn gleams in the sunlight; this year’s cornucopia seems to be nearly thirty feet tall. Golden grasses swish in the soft breeze, and as you gaze off into the distance—you can see the grasses brown and wither into a pale green. The grass is short around the golden horn, seemingly flattened down, but in some parts of the distant arena you can see the grasses can get as high as yourself. You can spot a lake in the distance—but it’s small from this distance and you can see it in the glaring sunlight.

No New Posts The Lake

As you approach the lake, you can see it rather big. Several small streams and rivers branch off from this tribute hotspot, flowing down the rolling plains with the fall of gravity. The grasses are only to your waist here, but still provide valuable cover. Lucky for you, but you don’t know it yet, the only thing that resides in the lake are protein-rich fish. Maybe you can catch one before the other tributes spot your quite obvious silhouette in the sun.
