No New Posts Boardwalk

What is a beach town without a boardwalk? You can find all sorts of odds and ends here. This is one of the more wealthy districts, so anything that can be described as ‘non-essential’ can be found here. (better fishing polls, clothing, churros… e.g.) It’s not a typical roller coaster and snack boardwalk though; it carries a more serious tone—there’s not a ride or game-booth in sight.

No New Posts Crossing Ladders

As said before, District Four lies on a large cliff about twenty or so feet into the air. To get down to the boardwalk and the piers, you have climb down a series of ladders made of slick stainless steel. Some of the more cocky teenagers that have climbed down these ladders hundreds of times simply slide down the ladders like a fireman’s pole.

No New Posts Fishing Pier

District Four’s Main Industry: Fishing. The fishing boats are parked here, and you can find the occasional bait booth here also. The pier is a dark wood stained with dried salt and sand and reeks with the smell of age-old-fish.

No New Posts Lower Class Section

Shacks, pretty much. They are made out of durable wood that is designed to withstand horrific weather. The buildings have been there for ages, along the edge of the cliff—so they may not look so good on the outside, but are okay looking on the inside and will get you through a good percentage of the storms. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spare room, and a kitchen make up the entire interior of these shacks.

No New Posts Justice Building

Another Justice Building, how exciting! This one in particular is a nearly entirely outdoor lot. In the shape of a large square, the walls seem thin as you enter through the large metal gate. The gate opens up to a courtyard where the reaping is conducted, as well as festivities where long ropes of lights are string between the surrounding walls.

No New Posts Market-Square

This is where you exchange the fish that wasn’t taken up by peacekeepers. As well as the different kinds of fish here, this is where you can buy other kinds off food from other districts such as: rice, wheat, fruit, etc. Sometimes a family owns a shop that makes their different food—and also a nice profit.

No New Posts Middle Class Section

Brick, and two stories with black tile roofs that seem to be plastered together with some sort of super glue—every single tile of the rooftops have been there since the district was built over a hundred years ago. The middle class section is lined up next to the schools in the back of the district, and is lined by gravel roads. You’d find four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two spare rooms in a typical middle-class house.

No New Posts Ocean Towers

It’s near impossible to get out of the District on land—so instead of building towers by the walls in the District, the Capitol built the watchtowers in the ocean every five hundred yards in a neat semi-circle about ten miles out into the ocean. It's fun to roam around inside them-- they're bigger than expected! Most of the District Four Peacekeepers are spread thin, and don't really care what you do inside them as long as you don't mess around with the equipment.

No New Posts Ricksaw Bay

The beach that doesn’t involve fishing. Teenagers, kids, and adults alike come here in their spare time to relax, play the occasional game of volleyball, and the like. The waves range from big to relaxed, and the sand is fine and warm.

No New Posts Schools of Four

The schools of four are classified into three buildings for elementary school, middle school, and high-school. You can find the three clustered fairly close together in the back of District Four.

No New Posts The Far-Out Ocean

Where the boats go to reap the rewards of their fishing nets. Don’t get any funny ideas about trying to sail away from life here!—there are watchtowers stationed throughout the city, peacekeepers required to be stationed on every boat—as well as tracking devices in the seams of your boat that you shouldn’t even know about.

No New Posts The Rich Family's Yacht

No one knows exactly who owns this Yacht, perhaps some rich peacekeeper—or the previous mayor? It never really mattered anyways, because they died and no one claimed the boat (successfully). It’s used for teenager parties, a kid’s imaginative adventure, adults who have way too much free time—it simply sits there next to Ricksaw bay with a pier of it’s own, and no one can figure out how to move it.

No New Posts The Rocks

A popular teenage hangout, that is—if you can swim. A few hundred yards off shore is a nice barrier reef and large rocks that are perfect for catching a nice tan on. The rocks soak up the sun and you can almost see the steam that emanates from them.

No New Posts Training Villa

Inside a large house (that is rumored to belong to the same family who owned the Yacht) is where the mayor of District Four stationed this district’s training area for the Hunger Games. Every person aged 10-16 is required to log five hours here a week. Beyond that, you are free to come as often as you like—there’s always a trainer or trainee here.

No New Posts Upper Class Section

Made out of some-sort of solid wood, these houses don’t look too shabby. Made with the same tiling as the middle and lower districts—these house can be summed up as modern, and sturdy in a pinch. The insides contain about five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and three spare rooms.

No New Posts Victor's Village

Your average Victor’s Village. They didn’t have any room for the new houses in the cliff (due to the surrounding sturdy walls and steep cliff drop), so they had to build the village on the beach beside Ricksaw Bay.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
District Four
If you follow the right railroad track that lead out from District Three: you'll reach the ocean. And District Four located right by the bed. This District is located right on a twenty-foot wall cliff so they high tides and flooding will never reach the city. You'll have to follow the many ladders if you want to get down to the beach. The land is all flat plain behind the district, and ocean in front.
